Re: friend for my friend
Please note when you say you want to get your current snake a "friend", that you should not house them together. Your snake does not require, nor desire the companionship of another snake co-habitating with it. While your desired outcome is to give your snake a friend, your resulting outcome will be that you've actually stressed out your snake (if you plan to house together).
With that being said, if you want to add to your collection, and you have the means to offer individual housing to each of your snakes with proper set-ups - I'm all for it!

I am assuming that you want to produce a visual morph when you breed the new snake to your normal. Go with a Co-Dominent morph. NERD explains it pretty well. Here's a link:

I think pastels are great starter morphs if you are low on cash. And who doesn't like the look of a super pastel? If you have $1000 to spend, I say go for a spider or look around for a mojave. Wait for 07's and they will be even cheaper.
