    questions on building a rack

hi, i am going to build a rack for about 6 juvie ball pythons. i was thinking on building one rack with smaller tubs on top and larger ones for adults on bottom. just a question on what size tubs to get for the juvies and what for adults. they are not hatchlings by the way. so my questions are what size tubs for juvies and then adults.
    Thanks

Re: questions on building a rack

once my juvies outgrow the baby shoebox rack i move them to either 32 quart sterilites or 28 quart rubbermaids. for adults i use 41 quart sterilites.

Some people go from hatchling 6 qt tubs to 28 qt to 41.

To save money and space, I will be doing 6 qt's and 41 qt only

i was thinking only 28 and 41, i know people put babies in way smaller but i think they can go right into a 28, when snakes are born in the wild they are not confined to a shoebox and i will jus put a hide box in one side. does that sound ok?

make sure to have lots of stuff to take up space so they can hide. I personally would not make a 28 qt rack for hatchlings. It will take up a lot more room than if you have a rack of 6 or even 12 qts.

i'd much prefer a shoebox rack for hatchlings. they are so small and really need the security. a 28 quart would just be so huge for a hatchling... i'd worry it would feel stressed and not eat.

i see what you are saying but look at wild snakes, they are not born into a shoebox. i think a 28 quart with hide spots is fine.

by the way i am putting my rack together right now, just took a water break
