    Head dot

Okay guys, while walking in the preserved snake collection at the museum i work at, i went to the Bp's and one had a very light dot on his head, with lots of blushing on his sides. I think i can remember someone explaining that that is a characteristic of a certain morph. Anyone know what morph? This one was collected directly from africa.

A lot of Normals have various head spots.. like my Cueball girl.

My het orange boy also has similar markings with shading on his head.

Unless your talking Spider head dots..

It was very similar to that first picture of cue's, i was surprised to see the intensity, though the ethanol has a tendancy to leach some of the color from the animals, which may have made the head dot more apparent. it is def not a spider!

It would be cool if you could get a pic.. I saw someone selling preserved BPs on ebay awhile ago; they said that the snakes had died of natural causes. I think that'd be an awesome way to preserve snakes that have died, especially morphs; why waste the body if it could be educational to someone? But then again, I am the type of person who has deer/fox/turtle skulls decorating most of my house, and plan on stuffing my cat when he dies...

I had a boa that died while being treated for mites, so i took him to the museum and prepared him the same way i do the other ones, so i have his skin in a jar, and his prefect skeleton preserved. Alot of the animals we get for skeletal preperation acctually come from the pet trade since we don't know any of the locality data of the individuals. we also usually get in several of the same species so one goes in to skeletal preperation and one goes into the wet collection, being preserved in alcohol. Why waste the animal when it can be used like you said educationally.
