    Glow???

I know its often said prior to ovulation the female will go through a drastic color change. Today I pulled this girls tub open to feed her (didnt eat) and when I got it open and took a look at her, the first thought that went through my mind was "who the heck are you". Shes really changed color, the lighter parts got even lighter and the darker parts (especally her head) got even darker. She shed about a month ago and 2 weeks after that shed, she started another shed cycle. So im hoping that last shed was her pre-ovulation shed.

Here is a pic of her now, shes been really tightly coiled up since her last shed.

Here is a pic of her head a couple months ago, her head had the most drastic color change.

Congrats !! Hoping for you to get lots of eggs!!! Our biggest female went through that color change too. My wife did not believe me that it was the same snake.

well ive tried Ralphs palpate technique quite a few times and all she want to do is come back out of the tub backwards, she never moves foward, my other female breeding this year will slide through my hands but this one wont, ive sat for hours before trying to palpate her with no luck.

Thanks, I know what you mean. I called my mom into the room and showed her, the first thing she said was "who is that".

That would be sweet!! I love IMGs really hoping that they become Co-Dom.

Maybe get someone else to help you with palpating her?

Keep the tub cracked only a little bit ... 2 inches or so ... don't give her any room to "come back" ... temporarily put a hide or some crumpled up newspaper inside and "point" her at it ... she'll head right for it while you do your thing.

Obviously I'm not palpating Kisasa yet...but there are times when I am trying to put her back in her tub and she is trying to go anywhere BUT there. But if I get her head down and point it right at the entrance of one of her hides....no matter how uncooperative she'd been up to that point, she'll slither right into her hide...even if she decides not to stay there as soon as I put the lid on. LOL
