    snakes switching enclosures

    do i have to clean everything if i am going to have different snake than origionally in the tank. i have my baby in the larger tank now but i am going to put my adult in there when i receive him. if i do what would be the best cleaning supplies?

    Bleach will work fine, just make sure you rinse everything well. It's also a good idea to keep them in separate rooms for at least 60 days in order to quarantine the new snake from your existing one. Most people on this site will quarantine their animals to insure that their existing snakes don't get any diseases and/or parasites.

    I'm pretty sure a bleach/water solution would do the trick for cleaning out the enclosure and all the stuff inside it--just make sure to dry it and let it air dry prior to putting anyone in it

    A lot of people here like Chlorhexidine, too--which is a spray-and-wipe kind of solution.
