Put back in 30 gallon now what?
ok the last post i said that i would put him back into his 30 gallon cause he was in his 55 gallon, and all he did all night was try and get out, he hasnt gone in either of his hides and he is just curled up in his little ball in the corner of the tank, is this normal? He also hasnt eatin in almost 2 months, his tank is perfect on heat and humidity and he has water in ther and all he wants to do is climb his drift wood. does anyone know what is going on with him,? I have talked to a vet and he said he is ok and that if he doesnt eat for another month to bring him in. so if anyone has and ideas on what going on with my Damen please let me know.
thanks

I would personally put him in the warm hide, if he is just balled up in a corner... Just so he knows he can hide. Sounds like he is scared and stressed out of his little mind with the move and from being in that other huge tank. After that - just leave him alone, I'd say for a good week or two. Let him settle back in and get comfy again with his "new" home. He will probably try to find a way out and will give up after a bit. After that week or two I'd give him a food item - if he takes it great, if not wait another wek before trying to do anything with him and food again.
I know male BP's got off eating sometimes during the "winter"/breeding season. My guy hadn't eaten since last August and finally just resumed eating this past end of January.
You may also just want to switch him over to a rubbermaid tub. They are great for housing ball pythons since they hold heat and humidity great!

How big is your BP, because if your BP is not full grown the enclosure is then still too big.
When you say temps and humidity are perfect can you elaborate because I have seen people thinking it was perfect but in fact temps were off.
Do you use a digital thermometer/hydrometer like this or similar, or do you use stick or dial thermometer/hydrometer?
Are your hides tight enough so your BP can snug in? (All sides touching your BP's body) - If you have log hides I would recommend you switch as they make poor hides.
Did you try crumble newspaper in your enclosure.
Get everything that need to be adjusted taking care of and then wait a week or two so your BP is getting used to his new enclosure (No handling, no feeding). Once acclimated try feeding again.

Two things I'd suggest. 1 being that you crumple up news paper and put it in his tank. Gives him privacy and comfort. 2 cover up his tank to give him more privacy ... Ok and here's a third. Is his tank in a high traffic area? BP's don't react well with high traffic areas so if he is then might wanna move him to a lower stress area.
