size of meals
can anyone tell me how you know when to up the size of the meals? Batista is 27 inches long...about as big around as a half dollar. he is eating one full grown mouse a week. do you think this is enough? he seems to get really hungry, goes into hunting mode...about 3 days before feeding day. guess i'm just worried about him not egtting enough to eat.
Thanks!

Re: size of meals
honestly, many grown ball pythons live on a rat about the equal size to a full grown mouse...
you could try adding another mouse to his feeding day and see how he does. when dexter was acting like this... i upped him to two mice... the took it the first couple of feeds and then never again. i guess he just needed to see what "overfull" felt like LOL

You have 1440 minutes a day... how are you going to spend yours?

i don't think i'd take it to pick up the mouse... as you may get 'hit' when it wants to feed on the way home!

Yeah the smell alone might put him in feeding mode. half of my balls come racing out of their hide boxes looking for food as soon as I walk into the apt. with rats. Just the scent of them get's them all siked to eat.
