    Houston, we have a problem

Ok, everything has been going great with Karma except for getting feeders. I've has alot of experience with different kinds of snakes through the zoo I worked at, but with the fact that Karma is growing makes getting the right food sizes confusing for me because all the snakes I've ever had to feed were adults. I've been buying the f/t feeders through a local exotics shop called V.I. Pets, the particular branch I go to is really nice and it is where I got Karma. I've had problems with their feeders though. When I was feeding Karma mice I got hoppers and once I asked them for them and ended up with a couple tiny little mouse fuzzies instead. Last time I went there I asked for rat pups and ended up with rat pinkies.
I went there this time and since I assumed they were getting confused on the terminalogy I decided to asked for the biggest rat fuzzies they had figuring that would be about the same size as a small rat pup. As it turns out they don't sell them. He said "we only sell mice and rats up to rat pup size" (which left me confused since pups are larger than fuzzies). I asked him why his "rat pups" were furless and he said "well, they are pinkies. That is what it comes down too." so apparently they think pups and pinkies are the same thing. I ended up just coing home with four of the biggest rat pinkies I could find and I'll offer two at a time again for now.
So...now I have the problem of finding karma the right food. I wanted to get a look at a rat pup before feeding them to him because I wanted to make sure they weren't too big, but now I'l probably have to order online because there aren't any other respectable shops around here to buy feeders . Also since Karma is growing I don't know how long he'll be on rat pups before he grows to need weanlings and all the online feeder shops sell 25 per bag not to mention the shipping is crazy as you all probably know.
Is there any good online shops that sell smaller amounts for frozen rats for a decent price?

I don't know where you're posting from, so I can't provide specifics...but you can check your local area for reptile shows. Even if you had to drive a couple hours to get to one...it's well worth it because they're so much fun...and they almost always have feeder suppliers there. You can see 'em yourself to make sure you get the sizes and quantities you want, and avoid shipping charges altogether...and have a great day at the show!

Shows are an awesome place to get anything for snakes, but if you dont go out to one, i suggest buying online. I got a huge shipment of rats from www.RodentPro.com and had no problems. I bought in bulk, so i'll have food for about 6 months

And if the guys at the pet place dont know what htey are selling you/sell you the wrong thing, i suggest you dont buy from them

There is a local reptile expo in a couple weeks, but I've only seen live feeders, but maybe I could still get an idea of the sizes from that. I was thinking about ordering from rodent pro but they only seem to sell in bags of 25 and Karma may need bigger food before 25 weeks is over, but I may just have to do that and feed multiple ones if he gets too big for them.

if Karma is ready to go up in size you can just feed two of the smaller items if you still have some left before buying the next size
