    Bad Shed

About a week ago one of my balls clouded up and shed, but from about where the neck starts forward did not shed, I put some extra rough wood pieces in the tank to get her to rub it off, she has gotten it off to the point that from right behind her eyes forward she is clean, and neck down. Is there anything I should do to help her or will the rest slough off over time? is there any harm with it staying on her (I have 1 red tail boa, and 2 ball's and have never had one take that long to completely shed) the humidity appears right, and that little patch is being stubborn.

Also I noticed a scale near her nostril was still attached, and when I pulled her out to look at her it fell of on its own, but looking closer there is a scale inside her nostril that was attached to the part that fell off, will this harm her? should I take her to the vet? or maybe just get a pair of tweezers and try to pluck it out(though it looks like it in there pretty tight) I really don't want to stress her out.

Any help is appreciated, even with 3 babies I still feel like a noob sometimes.
Also all of them are housed seperately

Let her soak in a rubbermaid tub and let her stay in a moist pillow case for an hour. She should move around and the skin will be moist enough to rub off. Don't use tweezers or anything like that because snakes are unpredictable and one sudden movement and those tweezers could end up puncturing your snake. As for the scale in the nostril, don't worry about it and just be sure to bump up humidity even more for the next shed. When you say humidity was high enough, what was it at and how are you measuring it?

Showing about 68 percent, but I admit this is with 2 gauge style meters(not digital) one in each corner of the back of the tank.

When you can it will be a good idea to get a digital one to accurately measure humidity. BTW, if you go to the top of the screen and click "user CP" and hit edit signature, you can type it in and the forum will automatically insert the snake info after every post.

    Re: Bad Shed

I guess I should figure out a way to measure them accurately so I can have more exact figures.

The dials are typically 10-20% off, so yes, a digital one is a very good idea.
