    "raisin' up" blues

Who else has them? Who has either that special morph, het, or normal who's not yet old enough to breed?
My Spider, I am not sure he's ready. I want to get some weight and aging on him before trying; I would so love to breed him this year, but I don't think it's going to happen.. how about you?
I also have the little normie girl that Cue gave me, but of course she's just an '06 and nowhere near ready.. but it still would rock if she was! Who can co-miserate with me?

I sure can. I have out of 29 BP's only 4 ready to go.....I am not going to breed them this year, I'd rather just get another year of weight and growth....

I am just going to hunker down and feed rats weekly to all my "kids"..I hope the year will go by quickly......

Thanks; glad to know it's not just me. I am at least glad that my pastel guy was breeding like crazy; thus I should be hatching out my first visible morphs this year. But it'd have been so cool to hatch out Spiders too.. ah well, life is a process of waiting and being rewarded for it, I am sure it'll be worth it. I get as much joy out of simply keeping them, watching them grow, they are just awesome in general.

    Re: "raisin' up" blues

We've got one female, Saoirse, we were hoping would make size this year but she's so borderline we aren't willing to risk her and of course watching the lovely 06's. For some reason it's the adults that didn't quite hit the weight we wanted or the babies that get me aching to breed them and counting the time. The females that are all in the middle (the 05 group), well we just feed em and watch the numbers and know their time will come.

Glad I ain't alone. Then again, half the fun is growing them up and comparing little baby pictures with adult pics..

    Re: "raisin' up" blues

Out of 10 normal females, I had the possibility of 9 making the cut. Only one did, but most of the others barely missed it(1000+ g) and I have 2 or 3 that are 700 g-999 g. As far as my het albinos go, neither of them made it this year. I had no hopes for my male to make it as much as I would of liked it and my female is off feed now for 2 or 3 months so hopefully she will pick back up. She has lost 40 g in the past 3 months and is just shy of 1000 g
