Should I up his prey size or amount?

I'm hopeless at knowing the right food size for Karma. I'm feeding med. f/t hoppers right now, they seem to be a quite a mouthful for him but he seems hungry (in stalking/hunting mode) within 4-5 days after eating somtimes. He is about 20" and I still don't have a scale to weigh him with yet.
Here are a couple pics of him eating a week and a half ago:

The mouse doesn't seem as big in the pics as they seem in real life.
Here are acouple more so you can get a better idea of his size and girth:

Looks to me like you could definitely give him something bigger. As long as he's growing well on it though, it's not a problem if you don't want to go to something bigger.

i think that snake could eat a reg adult mouse. not a large breeder or jumbo adult.

Re: Should I up his prey size or amount?

looks to me he thinks he should be eating ring fingers! Good lookin snake, I'm new to snakes so I can't really offer any great advice. The Dude is 17" long and eats hoppers, but I give him 1 one week then the next week he gets 2 if he wants. He ate three one night but they were small hoppers, the pet store gave me a free adult mouse once and he put the whole thing in his mouth after like 2 hours of work then just spit it out. Ever since that time he eats verrrrrrry slowlllllyyyyyy..... Lol, kinda like the monkey that ate the cue ball i guess....

    Sorry I like to talk...

As long as he's not test fitting them .

I just moved my three '06 males (all in the 250 gm range) to weaned rats from fuzzies as they eat like hundred year locust. It will be a week ago tomorrow and they would have been out and about by now, even on two fuzzies. I haven't seen a single head poking out. The adults aren't interested right now, but the little ones haven't slowed down.

Re: Should I up his prey size or amount?

I think what I'll do next time is get a large hopper and if he gets that down nicely maybe one size bigger each time until it looks right. Does that sound like a good idea?

shadow, from what i can see from those pictures i would personally feed your snake adult mice or rat pups. even if you have to get smaller sized rat pups i would still go with them. i have a 150g male albino that is only 2 months old already on rat pups. that is my personal choice but he is taking them like a champ and growing well. it is my opinion that you should up the size of his meals...

I was thinking about switching to feeding rats. I got a little scale, it isn't the best and only weighs in increments of ten, but he seems to weigh about 90 grams. So at 20' and 90 grams does rat pups sound right fro him?
