The pinky will most likely not survive...Feed the mouse bread...Jon

The mouse can have cereals(not sugary type) crackers, vegetables, etc etc. Don't feel bad if that pinky dies, they are notably hard to keep alive if you don't REALLY know exactly what to do. You could try a puppy milk replacer out of an eyedropper and keep it warm and clean.

Re: possible wierd ?
take a cup of milk and mix it with an egg yolk (just the yolk). heat it in a small container like you would for a baby, and use an eye dropper to feed. i kept a litter of new born rabbits alive that way. good luck!!

Re: possible wierd ?
No cow's milk, the mouse would just get diarrhea from the lactose and dehydrate.
Keeping a mouse pink alive is next to impossible. Euthanize it and stick it in the freezer, or take it back to the pet store. It is cruel to try and keep such a tiny thing alive without much "How-To" knowledge.
Your Ball Python would most likely not even recognize such a tiny mouse as food, especially if it has been away from the mother mouse for a few days(less likely to be as active, not as healthy, could be dehydrated, near death, etc).
Now small adult, already weaned, mice are the proper size for younger Balls, and are more apt to be recognized as a food source. They are easy to keep alive with a simple cage set up that includes a water bottle, bedding(kiln dried pine or aspen shavings), and some food(whole grain cereals, dry pasta, oatmeal, granola, etc, or lab blocks if you have them).

Re: possible wierd ?
For the pinky, if you really, really want it to live, go to the store and buy the smallest baby formula mix you can find. It has to be soy. Prepare according the directions and feed once every 2 to 3 hours, which means during the night too...Not feeding at night will cause the pinky to die faster, but it should hang on for a while.
Just don't get too attached. That happened to me, and I now have a very, very sweet pet rat.
(the formula will work for mice too)

Re: possible wierd ?
And a dehydrated, improperly fed, possibly starving pinky mouse is a good meal for a snake?
I know I sure want my snakes eating that.

yeah I can vouch for that! my girfriend rescued this little pinky (starting to JUST get fur!) she thought it was so cute because it was blonde like her! anyways, we went to petland and got it this cute little bottle and this formula stuff...I don't remember if it was soy or not...I think it was though... kept it up until about "small rat" status and fed it off... This was after she got her boxer puppy and lossed the interest in the rat...oh well...
