    Movin' In Update...

Finally got the new carpet installed and all our living room furniture out of the office. Then went to buy a pair of new computer desks (our old ones were very rickety from so many moves and would not have survived another...so Dean and the kids had adventures with a sledge hammer!). Well...the new computer desks won't be delivered until Jan 25th...so yet another delay in finally getting things fully unpacked and settled in. But still, we're making progress.

We did get our desktops set up today on temporary desks, so I'm a happy camper!! Time to be online is still sporatic and not predictable, but things will be back into a normal routine in a week or two, I imagine.

On a nicely serendipitous note...This was the first move I'd ever made in which I had a snake that I kept on newspaper. So, up 'til now, I'd never really paid any attention to what type of paper the movers pack our stuff with. Turns out...the packing paper they are SO generous with is newsprint! Now I've got TONS of this stuff in nice, clean, neat stacks. So very cool!

Oh, and by the way....if any of you local to San Antonio are in need of moving boxes...I've got LOTS of gently used boxes of all sizes. Will give 'em to ya free if you can pick them up. (Along with some of this delicious packing paper! LOL)

That's the exact stuff I use.

    Congrats on getting "more settled"

Sounds like things are really coming along. Nothing better than that new carpet smell and new furniture.

Hah, I know what that's like. I had mine setup on the bar when I moved and had to sit on a pile of boxes while I surfed!

Jack pot! That should hold you out for a while I guess.
