    Display Cages

Just wanted to pick your brains...i'm currently in the process of starting to set up for the second snake i'm going to add to my collection. Currently I have a teenage BP in a 20g long tank. I want to keep all the animals I get in display type tanks, just because I like the appearance of them as opposed to a rack system etc.

Can anyone suggest a good online store, or give me some helpfull hints as far as purchasing new cages? I will be purchasing a Jungle Carpet Python soon, so I will need a "taller" tank, and I want to upsize my BP's tank a little because he's growing awfully quickly.

Any help will be appreciated...thanks in advance.

i like the look of the animal plastics or boaphile arboreal cages. i like real glass (sliders). with black hinges and handle to match. just my taste though. an arboreal cage with a radiant heat panel and flourescent lighting is a good looking display, imo.

I think my favorite is the boaphile plastics...mainly because you can get them in all sorts of sizes and stack em up. I think that's definately the route I will go.

BTW will anyone be at the reptile convention in Florida on Feb. 24?

Daytona if I remember correctly. Change of plans though, I won't be there, i'm going to the Spartanburg, SC one instead in a few months. But ya...its Repti-Con (I don't know if I got that right or not).

    Re: Display Cages

My personal favorite is this site... http://www.customwoodreptilecages.com/index.html

I know the owner, who's a doll, and the cages are gorgeous for display and built custom to the size you need! I plan to get all my display cages in the future from them, especially for the beauties, though I hope to have a rack system as well. Good stuff and really decent prices for custom wood cages!

    Re: Display Cages

Ya...i'd really like to try building my own. Then again i've always been the type to want everything exactly the way I imagine it. Sometimes I tend to take on more than I can handle. Who knows, maybe i'll come up with a really awesome cage design.
