Reading two things about aleviating RI symptoms...One is telling me higher humidity, the other is saying lower humidity will help...

Raising the humidity can cause the mucus in the lungs to break up. So yes, raise it.

i would keep your humidity about the same as usual. this time of year mine sways from 40-60%.

is this in addition to meds for the RI?

the proper meds, will take care of the symptoms.

Apparently lowering the humidity is the old school way to do it

You need to raise the humidity.

Of course you still need to make an appoinment to the vet.

....the key word is 'aleviating'......that DOES NOT mean it is a cure. An RI will only go away with proper medication. "aleviating" the symptoms only prolongs the suffering of the animal and allows the RI to progress further.

Keep your humidity at 55-60%....bring your animal to a vet and get some medication.
