Question when will my python poo? HELP!

So I got my little Kyna Dec, 30th this year... I have fed her 3 times since then and still no poo... I dont know if i should be worried or not.... what should I do? Also, can anyone tell me what wattage of light bulb to use for my Kyna. I have a 29gallon converted aquarium which is about 16" height. She is a little baby only about 18.5 inches long and 3.4ounces. Please help?

    What are you feeding her?
A small muse or rat fuzzie would be the best size food. Especially if you are doing the latter there may be a long time before she does a proper poo - there is very little indigestible material left over. Monty pooed the very day I got him and then not again for 3 months, the chalky white stuff you may find lying around mcuh more often is urate. A true python poo looks like well, cat poo and smells indescribable. Even on an adult size diet a python will only poo every 5 or 6 weeks in my experience.

What ar eyou using to heat the aquarium? A regular light bulb is not a good way to heat a tank and if it is actually inside coudl burn the snake. I would suggest browsing some of the forums further this down page for advice on heating.

Well she will defecate whenever she will be ready to, some go once a week some go once a month, it cannot be predicted.

Wow, be lucky you don't have a Green Tree Python. Mine just went tonight for the first time since October 15th. Talk about backed up!

Anyway, Balls are pretty good at going when they need to go. December 30th is nothing... really. Just enjoy your snake and appreciate the fact that you don't have anything to clean up or smell up the room.

how often are you feeding? 3 feedings in two weeks is more than you need.

pick a day and have that as your feeding day. every week, once a week offer your prey item. (and every once in a while miss a week - it's good for them)

can't go wrong with a good schedule for your ball!
