    Question AP economy plastics rack

    http://animalplastics.com/EP.html

anyone tried out the new animal plastics economy plastics rack? i am looking for a new rack as my babies are growing and will soon need to move up out of the baby rack. i love the price on this rack but i'm concerned about how well it holds in the heat because of the open back and sides design. how much difference will this make on a rack of this size heated with belly heat? all of the racks i have now are enclosed so i don't have anything to compare this design to...

    Re: AP economy plastics rack

I just ordered one of these for my corn snakes, and was wondering how it works for BPs as well.

I only have one BP and was thinking maybe add some extra flexwatt to the slot where I keep the BP.

I'm not sure until I see someone use it successfully. I would expect that it won't hold heat as well as a closed design. You might want to give Mark a call.

I just set up some used AP racks... for being moved around, they never faltered structurally, I'm really impressed with the entire unit in a whole... temps, humidity etc... I don't have experience with other brands... but I LOVE them !!!
Grey Scale is a good thing...

They hold heat well. I have had my BP's in one for several months and they are doing great.

Don't a number of people here use open sided racks? It's probably no different from those, so if they would chime in. Probably besides the price the best part about those is that you could actually see your animals in the rack, and they'd get some light. But then again, it would cut down on the whole instead a burrow feeling for them.

I can't wait til I get it, 3 weeks to go now if they stay within their estimate.

My first rack, I have 5 glass tanks and 3 plastic tubs prior to switching to the rack.

    Re: AP economy plastics rack

If anyone else needs them, the tubs used by the AP economy rack, Sterilite 1756 and 1754 , are on sale this week at Target.

I saved $10 on a set of 4 each to fill my rack when it comes in 3 weeks.
