My BP "Sampson" has not eaten in about 4 weeks! He's not intrested at all, he hasn't been coming out of his log, staying on the Hot side of his tank. At one point he looked as if he were ready to shed but that hasnt happened either.

How old is he? 4 weeks is not bad. I have one that has not eaten in over 2 months for me. As long as your snake is healthy they can go over a year without eating.

As Tim said - it will lose weight - as long as it doesn't lose significant weight.

I had a yearling fast last year for six months and he lost less than 50 grams in that time.

Now that he's in a tub set-up like the rest, he hasn't fasted this year (knock on wood). He does tend to skip a week more often than the others, but he hasn't gone into a full-blown fast this year.

BP can go off feed and if there is no significant weight loss he will be fine.

Now going off feed can be a sign of husbandry issues as well.

Make sure the hides are tight enough (Touching all the sides with his body)
If you handle your BP a lot stop until he resume feeding.
Check temperature 80-84 on the cool side, 90-94 on the warm side.
Check humidity 50%-60%.
Make sure the enclosure is in a low traffic area.

Also BP can fast too catch up when overfed again if there is no significant weight loss he will be ok.

I'd also recommend getting a scale to weigh him when he goes back to feeding, so in case he goes off, you can monitor his weight.
