How can they test you on something never covered in the lessons in class? It might sound silly but one day before the actual tests is not enough to learn and remember it all.I would challenge that grade if it causes you to fail.Is this like a fill in class? I have never known anyone needing to take weight lifting in college.

Re: i find out my grades tomarrow
When I was an undergrad I took a weight training class along with Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Physics, and a research internship.
Educating the mind and body is good...
Plus with hard classes sometimes it is nice to fill in the 1 or 2 credits you may need to help you graduate on time with less challenging courses.
Taking on more than one person can handle in one semester is a common mistake in college. It is better to do well and demonstrate your learning in 3 or 4 hard classes than demonstrate you can get Cs in 4 or 5 hard classes. So yea it's probably a "fill-in class", but that's not such a big deal as long as you don't take all "fill in" classes.

Ok i understand how it would be wise to take something like this. Its bad though that it might hurt him in the long run and its not really his fault.

Re: i find out my grades tomorrow
I took a self defense class in college as an elective. I also could have taken an array of other classes like karate, weight lifting, golf and scuba diving. These are mostly do no fulfill any requirements, but do provide some relief from a hectic schedule.

One of the fun classes I took in college that had nothing to do with my major was Judo. I took this with my best friend at the time. Spending a couple hours a week learning throws and chokes was fantastic stress relief
