Woohoo! I finally recieved my flexwatt from mgreptiles! It took a while, cause my order got mixed up and matt didn't send the entire shipment at once, but today the rest of it came, and i couldnt be happier!!

I used two separate pieces of flexwatt, one on the left, and one on the right. Each one is hooked to a separate herpstat ND. I have the probes taped with extremely strong tape to the flexwatt itself underneath the tub, and reinforced a couple of times extra to ensure it doesn't come off. Then set the t-stats up with a digital infrared thermometer gun, calibrated to the surface temps of the tub. 92 degrees hot side, 84 degrees cool side. Does this all sound right?

Oh, and for those of you that were wondering, the lights that i was using to add extra heat to the tubs, i took em down Finally I can sleep without light! WOOHOO!

Oh yeah, almost forgot....

Monty escaped as i was making his new setup!! lol, i had him in a seperate temp aquarium for about an hour, and i went downstairs to get something to eat real quick. Apparently i forgot to secure the top to the aquarium, because i came back up and started working on the setup some more, and looked over to find no snake in the aquarium! I was freaking out for a minute, realizing the top had been moved up and over a little bit, and he apparently just crawled right out of there! it's surprising, because the tank is about 2 feet tall, and theres nothing to climb on in there, and hes only 35 inches long! talk about a houdini snake! Anyway, about the time i saw the lid open, i noticed him in a dark corner, staring at me! lol i caught him red-handed! BAD BOY!
