No Light
My ball pythons are in a dark closet all day, with no light, is this ok? What affects does light have on a Bp, although they are nocturnal?
Thanks

Re: No Light
it throws off there photo period time so they wouldnt know if it was night or day i believe. maybe open the closet door during the day so he can have some ambient light. but who knows maybe im wrong

Re: No Light
It will throw off their photocycle. Just flick the light on in the morning and off at night. At the same time every day mind you.

Re: No Light
The snake knows when its night or day, just like it knows winter from summer. It wouldn't hurt you to open the door just for alittle light.

Re: No Light
Ok... I will probably set up a light in there later on. My room is really cold. When I open the closet doors for light, even a little, my small heater can't keep up with heating . I may need a better space heater! Thanks guys!
