Talking Snakey grandkids make it to grannys

snakey grandkids finally here. Lars had to let his snakes go due to military obligations, so his 2 red tails have come to stay with grandma. They got here about 5 AM all safe and sound. I'll get pics of the "grandkids" after they settle in. The big girl is lying in my lap warming up a bit. Maybe tomorrow night they may want a couple ratties.

Oh redtails are such big sweeties generally Nancy. I'm sure you'll love having them around.

I can't wait to get my own. But for now I can enjoy his snakes. When I opened the tub they are just stunning to look at.

Awesome! Are you keeping them permanently, or is it temporary? I will warn you.. they are easy to bond with, and get attached to!

Re: Snakey grandkids make it to grannys

Lars is doing great. I'm hoping he gets out of the service soon because it means he may be living closer. I only get to keep the boas till he gets out and gets a house. I've already fell for the little male. He is so striking in appearance and sweet as can be. The big girl was a little testy when she came out, but I'm sure she will come around after some rest and a nice size meal. It means so much to Lars to get to keep these 2, I know my Rexella will produce a nice pastel bp for him too. The whole family took it hard having to part with their reptiles, I'm growing out a couple snakes for the kids as well.

Re: Snakey grandkids make it to grannys

I am glad they made it there safe. We are doing ok here in ND. I might be leaving the service soon due to medical problems. If I do I will be right back into snakes again. We have already eye balled a few big houses in Southern IL. Mom really seems to be enjoying the RTBs. If I get out soon like I am expecting I might do a clutch of them this year. We had a good Christmas here, it's just different. The house seems empty with all my babies gone. I did go to a lot of hard work and got them all placed in good homes. I will be checking in and out still, just not as often as before.
