Thanks Adam I've got two male het lavs that are real studs. I'm hoping my female het lav goes this but she probably won't.

Thanks for the replies. I really excited about the Lavender Albino project it is the best looking simple recessive trait to date in my opinion and a few possible het girls are worth their weight in gold to me.

    Re: Making Possible Hets

That's what I'm trying to make this year as well, but my het male is far from a stud unfortunatly. Mine has always been a poor feeder and just does not seem too interested in breeding. I have seen him lock a few times with my normal females but only 2 short locks with my het female. How large is your het female? Which line did your hets come from? How many normals is he breeding for you? Good luck, I hope you get all females.

    Re: Making Possible Hets

John, one of my het females is just over 1500 but she is still young an early 05' so I'm not planning on her going but I am putting her through the motions so I could get lucky. My hets were produced from a Vpi lavender. My het lav males have bred several normals females so far this year so I'm hopeful for some female offspring to raise up. Having two males breeding is really getting the job done but it seems all my other males are dead on their butts. Good Luck this year with yours.

    Re: Making Possible Hets

I wish I would have bought a backup male. We'll see on mine producing. I am a pretty pessimistic person so I just kind of have a feeling my het female is not going to lay. Hopefully I'm wrong. With my luck the normals will lay and the het will not. Good luck with yours.
