    my ball still won't eat.

It got him about 3 weeks ago. He was 100grams when I got him now he his 90grams. I have tried frozen/thawed for the last while, today, I finally got ahold of a live hopper mouse, after much begging of the pet store to sell me a baby. The snake was interested in him when I first dropped the mouse, in but ran away from it after they touched. I personally have never delt with such a mean mouse. I also got a pregnant mouse, that will have babies probably tonight or tommorrow, so I'll try smaller babies. If that'll help at all.

He's in a ten gal tank. Temps and humidity are fine. He's in a low traffic spot.

Anyone have any ideas? The breeder said I can exchange him within the first four weeks, and I don't want to exchange him, its a nice reduced pattern. I have never had a problem with my other ball I got from them.

maybe try feeding him a gerbil??

or put the mouse in chicken broth......

or wave the mouse in front of the snakes face with tongs...

or try feeding the snake outside of its enclosure.........

or try feeding it in the enclosure at night with a towel over the tank for maximum privacy.....

I would call the breeder you got it from and tell him what is going on. Ask when the last time was he ate, and what he was fed. Also ask if it was live or frozen and how he was fed. Hope this helps.

There are plenty other things to try other than the size prey. Try killing the mouse and just dropping it in there. Try killing the mouse, drop it in there and hit it with a hanger or something to make it move a little. Warm it up with a hair dryer, snakes sense heat. This last one you may find kind of nasty, but kill it and cut open its' head. It is called braining and I have seen other people get their snakes to eat them like this.
    lots of snakes
