Thumbs down Just Starting out! HELP

OK. So my husband has decided he wants to breed ball pythons. We have no idea what we are doing! Where do we begin? Currently we have 4 ball pythons. Not sure what they are. Whether they are male or female.
Of course the first step is to get them sexed but should they be seperated before breeding or is it ok to keep them all together? What temps do we use? How do we get morphs? Any information anyone can give us would be greatly appreciated. Kinda in the dark here on how to get started.

they should be seprate at all times (except when its time to breed). go to the link on the home page for 8 ball pythons, you'll find some of the best morphs there. google bp breeding you should find a care sheet on all of the spicifects(sp). best of luck to you.

First of all you have 4 ball pythons you need to have 4 enlosures they should not be kept together see this to have an idea on why not house them together http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...e-d9fdd0635574

First you will need to have them sexed

Second before thinking of breeding you have to make sure your BP are the proper weight (male 800 grams - females 1500 grams) and that you are providing each one of them with the right husbandry (Enclosure 1 BP = 1 Enclosure so 4 BP = 4 Enclosures, right temp and humidity level etc).

Where do you get morphs? Well you buy them from reputable breeders so you gonna have to do some researches to find out who is selling the type of morph you are looking for.

As far as how to breed and some basic you can check this out http://www.8ballpythons.com/journal/...ngcalendar.htm

Breeding requires a lot of researches so do your homework

I think the FIRST step should be to use the SEARCH function. Then ask your specific questions.
