Transporting a snake in shed...

Any tips? I have to make a 4 hour drive this friday and my snake is starting to shed and he has to come with me. What can I do to keep the humidity up and make him more comfortable. I have a snake bag I will be using and a box that I will put that in. Should I through in a moist paper towel or two?

I really wouldn't worry about it too much...actually too much humidity during shipping (unstable temps) could cause more harm than good. Better to have a bad shed than chance getting an RI. Bad sheds are easy to fix, RIs are not.

so dont worry about hiumidity, what about temps should I do anything to control the temps like one of those small hand warmers somewhere near him? (not touching him of course)

I wouldnt, if your not heating the box, that will just serve to make the snake colder....Ive recieved a few snakes that were in shed at the time, they were shipped or brought here in a regular snake bag, in a box and they completed the shed cycle just fine

A small box, insulated with crumpled newspaper...put the snake in a cloth bag/pillowcase with a dry paper towel...one of those small hand warmers will do for 4 hrs...tape the hand warmer to the top of the box, and you're good to roll.
