Re: CB Normal Female Ball Pythons (500 to 918 grams)
Because I am a hobbiest breeder. See www.siscoreptiles.com
My main interest is Tegu Lizards. I have 35 adult tegus of various species (colors). I also have 47 ball pythons, mostly adult females. I do not have room for them and as I buy a few morphs here and there I need to make room in my racks. I have 20+ various other herps as well. I am sure you can understand how space can become an issue.
I'd rather sell some females (obviously not my 1200+ gram girls) and pick up a spider or mojave male that only takes one bin in the rack. Than I will have several empty bins and I can buy a few more morphs.
You can view the testimonials on my website or in the BOI on Fauna if you want to know if I am trustworthy.
Sincerely,
Rick Sisco

Let me add that I am in Maine. If anyone that is interested would like meet to examine, sex or just to pickup the snakes and avoid shipping, I would be more than glad to do so. I sometimes even get down into NH & MA.

Thank you, Joe. If I recall correct you saw pics of the ball python racks I designed for my own use. I need to double that wall of racks this summer!

Rick, just curious? Why are you cooling 600 gram ball pythons?

Ed,
In the wild they cool each year. I am cooling these so that in future seasons that will already be 'used' to the cycle. I am a lot more experianced with tegus, though I have successfully bred ball pythons and had great success. I know some reptiles don't breed as well until they are comfortable with thier normal cycles. I am in no hurry so I don't need to powerfeed these girls, nor do I need to push their weight up through the winter.
Why do you ask? Is there something else I should be aware of?
Rick
