    NBA fans?

have you guys heard about the ben wallace "no head band rule" well apparently it's a team rule, that players can't wear head bands, i mean was furious when there was that stupid dress code, and now THIS? (i'm aware david stern has nothing to do with this)

i also hate how the referees are alot more generous with the technical fouls, i mean if players want to argue a call... BAM! a T, and that new rule, 6 T's and it's a fine/suspension....

i mean they're really clamping it down on the players, i feel like they're trying to take the emotions away from basketball...

Sorry, I wish I could empathize more with you but I am not a basketball buff. I've only been to a couple basketball games, and my first one (that I actually sat all the way through) was last year. My son really enjoys it, so I imagine we'll probably attend a couple more this year as well. It's not too bad, especially if we get in the luxury box.

    Re: NBA fans?

I love watching NBA games, but haven't followed a season for a couple of years now. Just don't have time. I'm thrilled to be going back to San Antonio though, cause the Spurs are "MY team!"

As for the topic at hand...the "no headbands" rule sounds pretty silly, but sometimes coaches have reasons for their rules that aren't readily apparent. And on the technicals....I don't have any problem with them cracking down on unsportsman-like conduct. The game was going way too far the other direction with players throwing temper tantrums every time they didn't get their way. I don't see that trend as "taking the emotion out of the game" but more of putting the professionalism back into it.

    Re: NBA fans?

I'm not too big on NBA I'm more of a college ball watcher, though I do like the pistons most likely because of Tayshaun Prince, he was a UK player after all and I do love my Kentucky wildcats. GO BIG BLUE!!!!
