Funniest thing JUST happened! LoL

Ok so...I go to look at my lil guy who is in his hide but poking just the front of his face out. Like a lil kid, I hide around the corner so he can't see me, and poke my finger so he can only see it thru the glass but not my whole hand. I wave it around a couple times, making jerky movements, when I notice he' s actually following it and calculating its movements! He pokes his head out more and his body is in the full "S"trike position! LoL, I keep doing the little finger dance and he strikes at me!

Luckily, he was in his tank and i was on the opposite side! I found it so cute and funny tho, cuz I know he normally wouldn't do that but I tricked the lil bugger into thinking my finger was a mouse!

You might not want to do that. There may come a day when he confuses your finger with a mouse/rat when you go to handle him. I know he didn't see you but he might start to confuse your finger with a meal. Either way I'd never want my snake to ever get any ideas my finger or any body part is something to strike up his urge to attack.

That is cute, but be aware that striking the hard surface of the glass can possibly cause serious injury to them. Mine follow everything that moves when they're hunting about.

Geez I can't believe I forgot to mention that. If they strike the glass they hit hard enough to break their jaw or cause nerve damage in their jaw.
