    Substrate

I know there is alredy a hugeee thread about substrate, but i was looking in my room today, and the puppy pee pad thing happened to catch my eye. Do you think it would be a good thing to use for snakes?

just stick with newsprint. Not to eye appealing, but the cheapest and best I think.

    Re: Substrate

well i use aspen, and i love it, and have a garbage can filled with it (i love buying in bulk. lol), i was just wondering, especially for those RTB births, i think it would be a good thing to use, just wasn't sure. Only some of them have chemicals that attract the dog. The ones that i get do, because i use them for my dog (lol), but the plain ones would probably be good for snakes...or so i think

I disagree here. Those chemicals may be quite harmful to the snake over time.

i agree...but there are some without chemicals, those are the ones that i would be using. I dont know if those chemicals would be harmful to snakes, but i'm not willing to find out.

Why try to reinvent the wheel? Have you ever heard of someone using puppy wee wee pads? If it was a viable option, somebody would have done it already.

I had to switch. I've gained a few lbs and those wee wee pads were riding way up into the unknown!
