What part of FL are you moving to? I'm in Lehigh Acres...it's near Fort Myers on the Gulf Coast.
I rack my husbands balls & show my rack on Ball-Pythons.net

Re: im moving with my bp's
I moved from FL to missouri and from missouri back to FL (college). I found that i showed more signs of stress than my bps did... but for my piece of mind i looked in on them at gas stops and took them out at night and gave them water.
GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: im moving with my bp's
I moved from IN to WA with a ton of snakes. Put them in snake bags and pillow cases. Put them in a few large tubs in the back seat on top of the luggage and took them into the hotels with me every night (talk about a lot of trips and some strange looks "ma'am, your pillowcase is moving"). It was a 35 hour trip and in the end I was more stressed then they were. Two had shed while in transit and four shed upon arrival. All ate the Friday after arrival (got here on a Sunday) none were worse for the wear.

I move from Florida to North Carolina in May (04) and they rode in the back of my Dorango, about 14 hours, no muss, no fuss. It was tough getting them to say in the seat belts. lol

Re: im moving with my bp's
Biggest tip I can think of is don't put them on the floorboard of the car! I read an account of a breeder who was traveling home from a show. He had his snakes on the floorboard, apparently directly above the muffler. If I remember correctly, he lost nearly all of the snakes due to overheating.

It was Bryan Kollwitz and the gentleman who is out of Chicago that lost all those snakes. Such a pity.
