Hey all,
Your friendly EyelashViper here....I was reading an article that said that it is highly illegal to own any snakes in Hawiia...( hope I spelled that correctly...? ) It said that even owning a silly little Corn snake could land you in prison or with a hefty fine. I presume that the authorities must have good reason for not allowing anybody to own snakes....I guess that they are paranoid about non-native species becoming established in what is probably a perfect eco-system for say, wild Reticulated Pythons or Burmese...( I have also read that the Burmese has actually become somewhat established in the state of Florida...pretty wild huh..? )
I would hate it in Hawaii....I NEED my herps to help me maintain my sanity in this madhouse of Los Angeles - I LOVE snakes....I know that to "normal" people ( which must let out all of us snake nuts ) it is strange to like snakes but I spend a good deal of time studying snakes and they are one of the most unique and fascinating life forms on this planet....in the case of the venomous varieties, they are literally deadly beautiful....
Sooooo......I guess I will not ever be living in the Aloha state anytime soon....
