    Arrow a new first

It was feeding day today for my two almost 3mth old corns.

I fed the one first and then the other one and while the fuzzy was on the tongs, the little on struck at it, pulled if off the tongs, and coiled around it. It was so awesome!

Now, I keep pretty accurate feeding/regure/shedding records, but i do have a few questions.

For being almost 3 months, am I going to fast by giving them fuzzies? I just started doing that last week. They get fed every 5-7 days. They both about 16 inches long and have the girth of a Sharpe permanent marker (the med. tipped ones).

Since I've had them, there hasn't been any regurges. Is it normal for them to take a few minutes to munch of a fuzzie? 10 minutes max.

I had a problem with shedding with one of 'em and corrected that with a humid hide. Both are now shedding full with eye caps.

Anyway that's it for now. I plan on borrowing a decent digital camera and will post pics asap.

Generally the rule is prey items about as big around as the largest diameter of the snake, so if the fuzzies fit that size for your snakes, then i would say go for it.

    Re: a new first

i have two corns a bit larger and older than your corns... and they are on fuzzies. - when they just have their fur but are approx 1.5 - 2 inches from nose to bum.

see this page for a pic: http://www.rodentpro.com/catalog.asp...el=frozen_mice

when corns get too large of prey, they have a regurge and once they start regurging it can be hard to stop them. i had my bloodred regurge earlier this year... i believe he had three before we finally got him back on food again.

my smaller corn which was born in june 06 - is on pinkies.

so i would suggest you feed smaller prey items to corns rather than taking a chance of a regurge.
