    Burm pic

This is the one from my post "handling question" eariler on. We were weighing and measureing some of our larger snakes yesterday, so we decided to get this one out. It's kinda funny though, because this time it was no trouble at all. Didn't hardly even look our way when we opened the cage and cooperated just fine for the picture we needed. It hadnt been weighed or measured in quite a long time so we were all kinda curious to find out. 9 foot 7 (give or take a couple inches because I only ran the snake measurer on it once and i usually like to do it a couple times and take an average of it) and 31 pounds.

    Re: Burm pic

Im really gonna have to get a new pic up of that one. It was shedding in that pic, and the colors really arent done justice at all. Also, it has been a sweetie when ive been getting it out lately. Really, ever since that pic. A little while later when it shed we got it out to clean the shed out of the cage and it could have cared less. One time since it's scared me a little. As i was reaching in to get it (i still like to get the head grip on it untill its out of the cage) and just before i got ahold of it, it opened its mouth a little and lunged a couple inches(i wouldnt really call it a strike) at my hand and bumped into me, and hissed a little in the process. Scared the crap out of me. I kinda suprized myself though, because I managed to keep it together enough to not jerk away. I think i may have just caught it off guard when i reach in. I try to always make sure it knows im there by rubbing it before i reach for it. Other than that its been fine. Goes to show a little handling can go a long way.
