    Few questions!

Well...my BP is on a normal eating schedule now and is quite happy...which of course, makes ME quite happy! My question is, I fed it last Sat night, one live, adult mouse. I didn't handle it, let it digest, etc etc. Now it has come out after about 4 days of hiding in its hide and is acting hungry the same way...question is, should I feed it ne way, since that would make it 2x/week?

It's only a juvi right now so I don't know if I should wait til the 1 week mark and feed again or just go ahead right now? Like I was saying, he is acting *really* hungry so I'm really tempted to just feed him but I don't know what to do? Also, he hasn't pooped since he last ate, he has peed a few times but no actual poop...should I be concerned?

    Thanks in advance!

I would wait a week.. it's better to grow them slow rather than stuffing them. Allows for more handling time anyway if you keep feeding to once a week.

Hard to say if the one adult mouse is enough not knowing the length and weight of your snake (or in fact how big that adult mouse is...pet stores can really have a wide range in what they call an "adult" mouse). It's also not a bad thing to see a snake out looking and hunting a day or so before their weekly feeding day. After all it's instinctive for them to do so and gives them something to do and I'm sure a bit of mental/physical exercise. If you do think, however, that your snake is ready for a bit more of a meal you could always try two mice once per week. Just make sure you aren't jumping up too fast in total prey volume or overfeeding.

I agree, one adult mouse weekly is probably not quite enough for a juvenile (depending on size of course). That said, the behaviour you're describing is fairly normal.

I feed my hatchlings and juvies about twice a week. Once every 4 to 5 days, generally. I've never had them refuse a meal except sometimes when they are in full blue. I say let nature decide how you feed. If they act hungry, feed them. Nature knows best and knows when it's time to eat. If they don't want to eat, then they'll refuse and you can just try again later.

About the pooping thing, I wouldn't worry about that. She'll probably "go" in the next couple of days. If not, I still wouldn't worry about it. There's another thread about that and one person said his/her ball usually goes a few MONTHS without pooping.
