    Question Kritterz UTH

O.k. - I'm a new bp owner and I wanna try to do this the right way. I bought a UTH from Petco. The UTH is called the Kritterz Sauna Heat Zone or something like that. My question is, Has anyone had any experience with this brand and is acceptable for a beginner? I've also heard of Zoo Meds and Exo Terra. I guess what I really need to know is which is the preferred brand?

I have one, and it's not much different from the others. I just plugged it into a rheostat and ran with it.

A dimmer. It controls the amount of current output to the UTH, but you have to manually adjust it when the room temperature fluctutes. I would buy a thermostat, and everyone here will tell you the same. Snake function similar to the thermostat that controls your house temperature. You need a thermostat with an Under Tank Heater, because the Under Tank Heater can get too hot and burn your snake.. For a recommended UTH brand, I use Exo-Terra cause it hasn't had a bad reputation of "hot spots," and it is works just like flexwatt.
