Can someone explain to me, why and how this baseball tournament became known as the world series. As we all know this tournament only involves american club teams and for it to be known as a world competition it has to involve other countries from around the world. For it to be a world series it has to be nationality versus nationality, maybe one of you crazy baseball fans can clear this up for me,

I've always thought about it. I think they can't call it the "American Series" because they have a Canadian team.

Yeah, I think that's it. Major League Baseball has a team from Canada, although they SERIOUSLY suck and I would not put my money on them making it into the playoffs for at least another 5 years...
