    Question Why so active?

I've had my bp for almost a month and she is still pretty active during the day. Is that normal in some bp, or does it mean that something is wrong?

how are her temps? does she have two identical, tight fitting hides? (one on the warm side and one on the cool side) hows her humidity?

What type of enclosure is she in?
    Lucifer Sam, Siam cat...
    Always sitting by your side,
    Always by your side...
    That cat's something I can't explain...

My guy was like that too. I don't know why, maybe they like checking things out.

Her hides aren't identical unfortunately, but I'm going to fix that within the next few days. The humidity is at about 50%. I'm trying to keep the temperature at around 82, but it has been fluctuating some.

She is in a tub...a little bit bigger than shoe box size (baby snake).

    Re: Why so active?

i would guess that's why she's being active. she's trying to find the right conditions for herself and of course, she can't get there cause she's locked in an enclosure.

i would work at making sure her hides are small and tight (they love to feel safe) and get the temps up.

As far as the ambient temperature goes...what has worked best for you guys?I've been trying to find a different location in the house that stays pretty warm at all times...do small space heaters work well? My husband is afraid that will make the electric bill go up alot...

A tub... it's not very tall. Mainly floor space.
