Cut frog!!

My 5" pacman has about a 1/4" cut on his back. Everyplace is closed at the moment so I was wondering what would be safe to help protect the wound from bacteria? All I have in the house are products for human use. Would neosporin be safe?? They have very sensitive skin.

I don't have any clue about the risk of using neosporin on a frog, but I can move this thread.

No, I posted it wrong. Maybe the moderator will move it. I have no idea how he got cut. I can't find anything that he could have done it on.

I don't know if you have chlorhexadine, but that is used by vets as a wound wash... amphibians too.

I have heard of using neosporin on reptiles, but I am not sure about amphibians..

i would leave it. animals are designed to heal and unless its a deep cut theres nothingto be concerned over. maybe some polysporin(?) if your worried. i believe neosporin is not recommended for herps.

Thanks, I will keep an eye on for now. If it appears to not be healing right I'll get with my vet and pick something up, Its not deep, but I have dealt with injuries on all types of critters. I have never had an injured frog. Their skin is so delicate I hate to guess on anything.
