    Shedding question?

Just got an Indian Python. It hatched in the beginning of this year. When I got him he had not been feed in 6 mths. He is now eating well on lg mice but I have had him for 3 mths and he has not shed. Should I be worried. I am not use to pythons. I am just a snake pet lover. I have corn snakes and they shed about every 2-3 feedings. Any advice is welcome but please PM me. I am new to the site, and am not navigating it very well.

    Thank you.

    Re: Shedding question?

I don't know much about Indian Pythons (except that they get really BIG!)...but I would imagine any snake will shed when its ready to. I've never heard of any instance where a snake got into trouble because it wouldn't go into shed.

Once a snake DOES shed, you need to be sure there are no complete bands of stuck shed, as that can cause a problem. But from what you say, I don't think you have anything to worry about yet.
