Our first problem with Dax

Last night we had Dax out and were handling him, Paul sat down at the computer holding Dax in one hand and operating the computer with the other. Dax started down to investigate the desk. Paul let him, and then looked away for one moment, and when he looked back Dax had tried to hide in the clip part of a clipboard, he went in the hole at the top and then turned and tried to come out the side of the clip, then he got stuck. We both were in a panic, we couldn't get him out, and he was getting scared. We got out the tinsnips and cut away one side of the clip, pulled it up and away and then unwound him from the clip.
He was not hurt, a few scales out of place, and was pretty scared. We put him back in his viv, and we learned an important lesson. Never take your eyes off your BP!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch :eek: .Mina does he have like any open wounds? If so you can put some neosporin on the area to stop anything from getting infected.I know you said scales are out of place but check to make sure no pink skin is showing.Watch him for awhile just to make sure he is ok.Keep us posted

No, Joe. Thank the powers that be we were very lucky. I don't think I've been that scared in a long time. He was frightened, but there were only a couple of scales out of place which I smoothed back. I, don't, however, think he learned anything. I sure did though!!!!!!!
He is fine today, the scales aren't lying as flat as they did, but there is no swelling or blood. He was a little timid so I think he remembers what happened. He was more unwilling than usual to unwind from my hand.
He was moving well, and he eats tomorrow, so I'm sure that will help, he loves his food!!!!

OK thats great .Baby snakes are like baby humans they will get into everything and will do goofy stuff.And they all do this to drive the parents nutty
