Unhappy I lost one today.... :(

I came home from work today to find that my newly aquired (non eating) red albino corn has passed on. I tried to do all I could for him as far as getting him to eat and providing an environment for him that he could thrive in. Some just weren't meant to make it....

jbo: I believe he was the runt of a clutch and just didn't want to eat for the life of him.

snake_lady & Nancy: thanks for your support

Joe: Tis' why I hold my head up high... I know at least he was given a fair chance on life. I had high hopes and good faith in that little guy... A higher power had other plans.

    Sorry about your loss!

Sometimes some of these little guys are not genetically programmed to survive. Think of it this way; when the baby sea turtles hatch out, how many of them are eaten by the birds that were there waiting on them? How many more are lost to the animals that are just below the water line waiting on a nice snack? Some have to be sacrificed in order for the stronger/luckier ones to live. It is just hard for us to comprehend this sometimes!

Always hard to lose a pet I know.. but this happens from time to time. Keep your chin up and all will be ok
