For those that use paper towels/Newsies

i have a quick question, i'm currently using paper towel. i use an accurite thermometer. i tape the probe down, (the thermostat probe as well)and place the paper towel on top of it

the thing is that the snake likes to go under the paper towel and 'mess' everything up

so where do you guys place your probes? on top of the substrate or under it?

I don't put my probes in the tub at all ... tape and snakes in the same box are not the best idea ... If you have a good thermostat, you should only need to put the thermometer into the tub long enough to get a temp reading and then remove it. There's not point in leaving it in there permanently.

thanks for the reply adam, it's always nice to get advice from you

i don't know the quality of the thermostat, it's called alife, i got it from the reptile depot for about 26 dollars... it seems to be doing the job, i guess i'm being over protective about leaving thermometer probe in there...
