Help, rack heating supplies.
Okay I think I understand how the heating tape works. Will this thermostat work with it? http://mgreptiles.com/ZOOSTAT.html and what are the disadvantages of this one compared to the others? and for the flex watt this is what i should be getting correct? http://mgreptiles.com/flexwatt.html and is there any differences when buying, how many feet of it do you think i should buy for about a 4 foot rack with 5 tubs going down?

Re: Help, rack heating supplies.
The only disadvantage I know of for this thermostat is that it is not proportional. That is, when the temperature rises too high, it shuts your flexwatt off...then back on when it falls....so it is constantly shutting the heat source on and off. The proportional thermostats constantly adjust the power to maintain an even temp....but don't shut off and on like that.
That being said, I have spoken to many people that use that (or other on/off thermostats) effectively with flexwatt....but they are reccommended against of you are using a heat coil, such as what comes on a T3.
Hope that helps.

Measure it man. Then you'll know for sure how much you need.

I still don't really know how this heating tape works like that flexwatt in the link above.. if i were to buy it id buy it in feet. Does that mean that it's all one piece that plugs into one outlet? and will take care of the whole rack by going from one side to the next going down and to the next one? or would i buy all separate ones for each level.. and if i did that it would all plug into one thermostat right? and do you think those tubs will be big enough, and for how big of ball pythons?
