my next snake interest...
ok when I was at the pet store last week I got to see, for the first time, a baby rainbow python and fell head over heels in love with her.
I couldnt really handle her cause the guy said she was nippy when going into shed, but I did get to touch her and she was SOO soft it was amazing.
I guess my question is, is $200 reasonable for a June hatchling rainbow python? and if not what would be a reasonable price?

I think you mean Rainbow boa.
Red with little dark circles all over her. ?

Re: my next snake interest...
Is it a Brazilian Rainbow boa or a Columbian Rainbow boa? If its a Brazilian $200 is not really to high.If its a Columbian Rainbow Boa that just nuts.

There are alot more types than just Columbian and Brazilian Rainbow boas too so I would definately check to see which location it is from before purchasing. An $200 sounds like the high end of pet store prices for Brazilians so I would look around for good breeders to pick one up from first...you could probably get one for under $150.
Here is my Brazilian Rainbow:

Re: my next snake interest...
while I remember, anyone got a decent website for info on the rainboa?
stuff like average length/weight, stuff like that n addition to some care sheets? I looked for ont on this site, but either my searcher is broke or I'm just too simple right now to be able to find anything.
thanks in advance.

There is a full- grown one at my local snake store. I held it a week ago. Feels kind of like plastic. Anyway, he/she is about 6' long. Maybe 3 pounds. A slender boa. It is $275. (adult brazilian). They may reach 7'.

Here are some caresheets that should have all the info you need. You definately need to be a little more prepared for a Rainbow Boa than you would be for a ball python. They are not as forgiving to keeper error as ball pythons.
