    How much for het hypos?

I was just wondering how much het hypos were going for (males specifically) and if they were readily available or not. Also what the pricetag for a regular hypo was too. Last year, I fell in love with a B-E-A yootiful hypo pastel male, pricetag...$12000... ...Pending the pastel additions to my collection next Spring, I was tossing the idea of adding a het hypo to the project......having a hypo pastel would be sweeeeet!

I just bought this guy for $150, with a 20 gal tank, uth, lighting, and hides.
Supposedly he is a het for a hypo, he's a lot more yellow than my normal bp.

Thanks! The markings on his head look like a four leaf clover. I just need to find a snake that turns all the yellow, green. lol.

He's beautiful! What do you mean he's supposedly het hypo though? Did you not get a guarantee of genetics from the breeder?

I got Casper from our very own Adam - I'm pretty sure he still has some het hypo males available - of course - you'd need to ask him!

I don't know guy's I thought het hypo price's were on the rise especially the female's. I've seen males for 150 and females for 600 to 650 , You use to be able to get a pair for 500.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it a het hypo because of its markings. Just breed it to a female het hypo and find out!!!

He is really good looking though. For only 150 bucks?? I've gotta start looking in the newspapers!!

I bought him from an ad on Craigs List. The guy who sold him bought him from Southwest Wisconsin Reptiles at a Herp Swap. I checked out the breeders website and it looks like he works primerily with colubrids, so I'm gonna call him and see if he can give me some reassurance.

Even if he's not a het I'm happy with him just the way he is. He even ate one night after I brought him home! He's a big boy.
