    Acurite

Finally bought the Acurite therm/humidity thingymabob. Now here's the million dollar quesion...

    Best place to postion it?

I got a warm side with a heat lamp. and a plastic sifter for a hide. A water bowl in the middle. And a half log on the cool side.

Where should i postion the probe, and where to put the actual thermometer?

I usually put the thermometer on the cool side and the probe buried down in the warm side.

It should have a self adhesive side on the probe, so you could probably stick it to the bottom of the enclosure.

I like to prop the unit in one of the corners of the cool side...wherever it is most easily seen. And the probe, I place under the warm hide.
