    Feeding Multiple Food Items

    Hey everyone,

I'm just curious about the techniques that you all use to feed multiple food items? My snake hasn't yet eaten more than one rodent in a sitting, but I'm curious as to how it is done. I feed F/T by the way, if that makes any difference. As of now - an adult mouse offered dangling from my feeding tongs gets snatched up right away, when you feed multiples do you just wait untill they get the first one down all the way then dangle another in? Do they need any extra incentive to eat another mouse, or will they just take it if they're ready? I've read/seen information on the "chasing" technique, and that doesn't seem to me like something that's a very good idea... So - I guess, I'm just curious if a snake who's ready to eat more than one mouse in a sitting will go for it and strike at another if its offered, or if it needs some coaxing to do so, like leaving it in her enclosure with her for an hour or two...?

    Re: Feeding Multiple Food Items

Feeding multiple food items is just like feeding one food item...but twice. The only difference is that you should wait until the snake starts moving around like normal after the first meal before offering the second....other than that...feed the second rodent the same way you would feed the first.

...and if the snake wants two, it will take two....if it doesn't....better get something to house that mouse until next week

If your snake doesn't take the second prey item, then just re-freeze it (only once) for the next feeding.
