    Yet another shedding question

Hi all! It looks like my bp is getting ready to shed. He is hanging out in his hide non-stop. Usually he poked his head out in the evening to see what's going on but I haven't seen him do that in a couple days. I had BPs in the past and they were pretty active during their shed. Is this the "normal" bp reaction to shed (stay in hide?) Just wondering since I may have had really odd bps before.

    Perfectly normal.

My gophersnake leaves his shed stretched out, around, under, and through everything in his tank.....while my BP leaves hers in a nice tidy little ball in her hide.

LOL! I must say that Monty scared the bejesus out of me today. I was curious cause I hadn't seen him out of his hide in like 2 days so I lifted one and he was just laying there, no reaction at all when I pulled the hide off of him. After a minute he started slithering around and doing his snake thing. I think he shot me a dirty look though before he headed for his other hide. Haven't seen him since!!

If his eyes are clear on Sunday, and he still hasn't shed, should I go ahead and feed? His normal feeding day is Sunday.

If his normal feeding day is Sunday...I'd go ahead and wait til Sunday. Won't hurt him a bit to wait a few more days.

My post was probably incoherent So if his eyes are clear on Sunday go ahead with the normal feed? That is what I meant to say... yeah... that's the ticket.

If he's done shedding....go ahead and feed. If the eyes have cleared but he hasn't shed yet...then there's a chance he'll refuse. But a refusal is not a big deal...just wait and try again the following week. You're choice. Some snakes are really sensitive throughout the entire shedding process....and some just want their rats!
