Please Help!!!
Hi Guys and Gals,
I just got my Ball almost 2 weeks ago. Since about a week and a half ago, i noticed his belly a dark pink to purplish color. I have every reason to believe he is shedding except that is eyes haven't turned foggy or bluish at all, and he is acting normal. He still crawls around when handled and is always curious. If anyone can help at all, thanks.

The 'blue' has either passed or has not appeared yet. It will.

Are you sure it's not a thermal burn? (double check temps) Typically if they are entering a shed their activity greatly decreases. I can usually tell when they are about to shed by their behavior alone. I would also advise not to handle him if he is in shed.

Thanks guys, I don't think it's thermal burns, his eyes started to fog over today, so i think it's a good sign of a shed, also, his activity kinda died. One more question, in the shed, is it normal for the belly to be pink for more than a week like his was?

I am glad I read this thread!! My bp is also totally lethargic with fogged over eyes. It has been awhile since my last bps (20 years ago YIKES!!!) and the ones I had then were active throughout. He had me a little worried until I saw this.
Thanks!!
Peace!

It's probably normal for your snake. I've got a couple that don't really get the pink belly at tall, but others that definitely do.
